DTF Custom Heat Transfers

Important information:

Our DTF Custom Heat Transfers, which are applied by means of a hot press or iron, are suitable for light and dark fabrics. Your design is supplied on a transparent film. Only the desired motif will be transferred onto the fabric.

• Please do not mirror the design, this will be done automatically
• Read the ironing / application instructions carefully before use
• Suitable for light and dark materials: Cotton, polyester, nylon, elastane, mixed fabrics, linen, soft shell, felt, genuine leather. (Please follow the ironing instructions for the respective fabric!)

Instructions for Applying DTF Custom Heat Transfers

An iron or heat press is required to apply DTF Custom Heat Transfers onto fabric.

IMPORTANT!
The temperature setting of the iron changes depending on the heat resistance of the fabric. The standard ironing temperature is 110°C to 150°C (medium heat) for 10 - 25 seconds. For example, for materials such as polyester and soft shell the temperature setting is approx. 120 - 125 °C for approx. 12 seconds.

APPLICATION WITH AN IRON

• Heat the iron to medium heat, 110°C to 150°C, depending on the material property (do not use steam).
• Preheat the garment to make it smooth and remove excess moisture.
• Position the DTF film on the garment with the design side facedown.
• Put parchment paper / baking paper between the foil and the iron.
• Iron and apply pressure for 10-25 seconds.
• Remove the parchment paper and wait until the transfer has cooled down completely.
• Carefully peel off the DTF foil.
• Place the parchment paper on top of the ironed image and iron again for about 5-10 seconds. Allow to cool.

APPLICATION WITH A HEAT PRESS

• Set the heat press to 110°C to 150°C depending on the material properties and let it heat up completely.
• Place the garment on the heat press.
• Preheat the garment to make it smooth and remove excess moisture.
• Position the DTF film on the garment with the design side facedown.
• Put parchment paper / baking paper between the film and the heat press.
• Press for 10 - 12 seconds.
• Remove the parchment paper and wait until the transfer has cooled down completely.

Please note:

• Wait 24 hours before washing or stretching the garment after applying the DTF transfer.
• DTF transfers can be washed at up to 60°C and garments with transfers can be tumble dried if turned inside out.
• Do not iron directly onto the logo as it will impact the transfer’s durability. Please iron on the reverse side.
